An Invitation and a Freebie

Hello all -

I have a really special treat today!! First, you are all invited to hop on over to Scrappin Freestyle this coming weekend for a Spring Crop event. This will be an AMAZING event -- there are already so many fantastic prizes just ready and waiting to be earned and "purchased" with points you earn during the different crop events. So make sure to be over at Scrappin Freestyle this coming weekend -- you won't want to miss this!!

Now for my little treat! I have recently become a member over at JanniScrap Designs and I LOVE her work! So, with the correct permissions as a member, I have scrapped my first Quickpages using some of her fabulous kits to share with all of you!

These first QPs use Janniscrap's Blast Off kit! These freebie quickpages are all designed in 8x8 300 dpi format, according to JanniScrap's kits. Please let me know what you think of these, since they are my first attempt at QPs using Janniscrap's fantastic products!

Don't forget to leave some love to let me know what you think!

Finished all the DSO Challenges

Woo Hoo!! I am done with all the challenges over at DSO for March, which means I'll be getting their HUGE mega kit very, very soon!! I can't wait!! Last month's Mega Kit from DSO was amazing!

Here are my Final LOs for the DSO Challenges:

I'm also really, really excited about a new purchase I just made. I've been wanting to be able to use torn edges on my LOs and my Quickpages, but just hadn't found a set that really seemed to work for me -- well, that was until now -- I just got this great set of Torn Paper Templates by Redju at Digiscrapbook.net.

Some Weekend LOs to Share

I love weekends -- They provide me with more time to scrap!! Here are a few new LOs I made already this weekend:

I made this LO for the Ad challenge at DSO and also for Mrs. Wresh's Week 9 challenge. For week 9 we had to finish the sentence that begins with "I Wish." So here is what I would wish for right now if I could.

Since I've been working extra hard on the challenges at DSO, I'm excited to say I am almost finished for this month!! Woo Hoo!! Then, I'll earn my big mega-kit prize. I only have 3 more LOs to finish later today and then I'll be done! I also have a freebie QP set ready to give away and will probably do that just a little bit later today as well. This will be my first Freebie for any of JanniScraps or Nana's designs and I'm soooo excited!

Some Challenge LOs to Share

Well, I just can't get myself ready to end my Easter Break -- so I've kept on scrappin' through the evening and have a few more LOs to share.

My first LOs for Seascraps

Today is my last day of Easter vacation, so I made some time to scrap a few more LOs before heading back to work tomorrow. I made 3 LOs for Sandra's (Seascraps) kits.

Not only did I make some LOs over Easter, I also made a decision to join the Members only club over at Jani scraps. I've been a subscriber to Nana's Attic for a while now and saw some fabulous kits over at Jani Scraps place too, so I just had to jump on that bandwagon! I'd love to be able to make some Quickpages using their kits, since that is allowed in the TOU, to give away on here. Hopefully, I'll have time to do that with all my other CTs and Challenges!

One LO -- many Challenges

I love having some time off!!! Today is the first day of my Easter Break from teaching.

With more time at home, that means there's more time to scrap. I made my first QP for Seascraps using her April's Child kit today.

I also created my LO for Mrs. Wresh's challenge below and this LO:

Family

Kit: Everything You Are by BooLand Designs

I made this LO to meet the different requirements of a whole bunch of challenges. First, it is the template from the template challenge at CLD. Then, I also made it for the qo=uote challenge ar DSO and the mix-it up challenge at SFS

Mrs. Wresh Challenge - Week 8

For Mrs. Wresh's About Me Album Challenge we had to scrap about our regrets. In terms of big things, I really don't feel that I have many regrets. Instead, I regret not living every day to its fullest!

Regrets

Journaling reads:
Life is full of moments sometimes we wish to change,
yet dwelling on the past leaves us far away from today -
this moment; the present.

Overall, I am happy with my life, but
I do regret not taking the time to live in each moment -
to stop thinking ahead and simply enjoy
the people, places, and experiences of each new day -
for life is short.
We must live for today, not for tomorrow.

By all this I don't mean we shouldn't care about tomorrow, but we should enjoy each moment as it comes before us, for we will never have the chance to live that moment again.

Getting Ready for Easter

Hard to believe that Easter will be here in just a few days. With all the great new Easter kits out there, I just had to scrap this page about my niece and nephews from last Easter.

Happy Easter

I also entered this LO in the ABC/123 Challenge at SFS and am planning to use it for a challenge at DSO.

My Grandparents

I had the chance to scrap these two LOs of my dad's parents using the Scrappin Freestyle March Mega Kit: Tides of Spring by the SFS Designers. The colors really complemented these older photos really well!

What I Like About Me

For this week's Mrs. Wresh Challenge we had to scrap about what we liked about ourselves. I love the way my LO turned out -

Another LO for Today

Boy, I've been posting LOs right and left today it seems! I had forgotten about this one from yesterday and knew I had to post it before I forgot. Over at DSO, once you sign up you get the Welcome Wagon Mini-Kit. If you make a LO with the Mini-Kit and post it, you get the Welcome Wagon Mega-Kit. Here's my mini-kit LO, which earned me the Mega Kit!

Now that it's March, there are new challenges all over the scrapbooking world! I've decided to dig into some of the 19 challenges offered over at DSO, so I can earn March's new mega kit! Here are some of the LOs I've done so far -

My Very First Creative Team

I had only been digi-scrapping a short while when I joined my very first Creative Team for Sugar Snap Scraps (Ellie Lash) in October/November 07. I loved working with her designs, but she soon had to disband the team so she could spend more time with her family. Here is my mini-showcase to my very first CT LOs --- Don't laugh, remember they were some of my first!!

Getting "Caught Up" on Some Older LOs

As I was going back through my blog and some of my galleries, I realized that a few of my older LOs were not up here on my blog, mostly because I had made them before I started this blog. Since I wanted my blog to be a place for me to "keep" all my LOs, I decided to do a big "catch" up post of some of the older LOs that were missing... so here are most of them now!

My Life is Significant
The journaling on the page reads:
My Life is Significant
* when a child smiles at me each morning
* when eager faces look to me wondering
what will happen next
* when a child learns a new skill or concept
* when history "comes alive" because
of my own enthusiasm
* when it is time to say goodbye and
and they are ready to move on
* when I share my love of learning and reading
with each young child I meet
Because I am a Teacher!

Scrapping Garden Daily Download Challenge

This past month, I loved the daily download over at The Scrapping Garden, so I participated in the Daily Download challenge over there. You have to scrap a progressive layout throughout the month and then finish it at the end of the month. So, here is the final LO for the February Daily Download Challenge:

I also did this challenge one other time in December and just never got around to posting my final LO for that challenge here on my blog, so I thought I would post it now.

In Loving Memory

This week I had to scrap a LO about a great trial in my life for Mrs. Wresh's 12 week challenge. It just so happened that one of the new challenges for March at DSO was also about a challenge in life.
As I sat down to scrap, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, then I realized that this week mark's the third year since my grandmother passed, and I wanted to make a page in her memory. So here is what I came up with:
