Well, things have been VERY busy here which is why I haven't updated my blog in awhile. Have been dealing with some health issues within the family, which thankfully seem to be on the road to recovery.
On some exciting news, I'm one of the newest members of Tracy Dane's Creative Team! Woo Hoo! Check out her blog here. Here is one of Tracy's fantastic kits, Lazy Afternoon. You can purchase Lazy Afternoon and the Add-on over at Groovy Scraps. Isn't it a gorgeous kit?
Here are some LOs I made with Lazy Afternoon and the Add-on:

Some New Layouts and a Freebie
Well, another week has started! I am still happily enjoying my "summer" time off from teaching. I am very happy to be back into Scrapbooking once again...so I have a few more LOs to share and I pulled up the QPs I had made a little while back to share with any visitors who come here!
I'm having a bit of fun watching some older TV shows that I bought on DVD recently. Right now I'm watching the Beauty and the Beast TV show that was on in the last 1980s. I was pretty young when it was on, so I didn't watch it then, but I saw it when I was older as Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite stories of all!
I also just ordered another set of DVDs of one of my ALL TIME Favorite TV shows -- MacGyver! I can't wait for them to arrive!!!
So while I sit here doing scrapbooking things on my Laptop, you can bet that I'm watching one of those two sets of DVDs!!
Oh, and on another note -- I was looking up tutorials today so I can try and improve on my Scrapbooking skills and I found one about how to make wavy/curvy paper over at Digital Scrapbooking University HERE -- I actually succeeded, but I still need to practice a bit more before I use it in any of my LOs.
Now for a few LOs I made with Seascraps Fantastic Products!!

A Great 4th of July Weekend and Some Fun New LOs
Well, Happy Belated 4th of July! I had a great weekend with my family. Saturday was my niece's 4th Birthday and we had a blast helping her celebrate with her Ariel (Little Mermaid) Birthday cake. We already had a "big" party for all three of my brothers kids a few weeks ago, so this was just a small family gathering. Once I get the photos off my camera, I'll start scrapping some LOs from the birthdays!!
On top of that, I've been a busy little scrapping bee this weekend!!! I did a bunch of LOs using kits from the Scrappin Freestyle Store. I loved them all so much, I just HAD so share them all!
Oh and lest I forget!! You HAVE to head over to the Scrappin' Freestyle Blog this week as my sister-in-law, Sherrie AKA RCMama Designs is the featured designer over there and you won't want to miss out on the fabulous quickpages being given away!!! So hurry on over to the SFS Blog.
The first two use Mega-Doodle Inspired's European Traveler Papers and Elements (The elements were a free give-away a while ago...the papers are available in the SFS Store)
Family
My grandmother with her siblings
The next two LOs also use a kit by Mega-Doodle Inspired called Cinnamon Sweetness.

Visitors from New Zealand
This is from 1983, when some of my mom's friends from New Zealand came to visit us.

First Time Dad
My dad holding my brother when he was first born.

Back in the Saddle Again
Well --
I basically just dropped off the face of the scrapbooking world for the past few months. The end of another teaching year and the beginning of summer vacation thrown in with a bunch of other things and I found myself with little time for scrapbooking.
I am still so thrilled to be creating for the wonderful designers listed in the sidebar! They are all fantastic. Click on their names to go and check out their designs!
Anyway, to kick off my return to scrapbooking bliss, I wanted to share some quickpages I made AGES ago using one of JannisScraps fantastic kits: Emily!
Hope you enjoy this little freebie!

An Invitation and a Freebie
Hello all -
I have a really special treat today!! First, you are all invited to hop on over to Scrappin Freestyle this coming weekend for a Spring Crop event. This will be an AMAZING event -- there are already so many fantastic prizes just ready and waiting to be earned and "purchased" with points you earn during the different crop events. So make sure to be over at Scrappin Freestyle this coming weekend -- you won't want to miss this!!
Now for my little treat! I have recently become a member over at JanniScrap Designs and I LOVE her work! So, with the correct permissions as a member, I have scrapped my first Quickpages using some of her fabulous kits to share with all of you!
These first QPs use Janniscrap's Blast Off kit! These freebie quickpages are all designed in 8x8 300 dpi format, according to JanniScrap's kits. Please let me know what you think of these, since they are my first attempt at QPs using Janniscrap's fantastic products!

I'm also really, really excited about a new purchase I just made. I've been wanting to be able to use torn edges on my LOs and my Quickpages, but just hadn't found a set that really seemed to work for me -- well, that was until now -- I just got this great set of Torn Paper Templates by Redju at Digiscrapbook.net.

I made this LO for the Ad challenge at DSO and also for Mrs. Wresh's Week 9 challenge. For week 9 we had to finish the sentence that begins with "I Wish." So here is what I would wish for right now if I could.
Since I've been working extra hard on the challenges at DSO, I'm excited to say I am almost finished for this month!! Woo Hoo!! Then, I'll earn my big mega-kit prize. I only have 3 more LOs to finish later today and then I'll be done! I also have a freebie QP set ready to give away and will probably do that just a little bit later today as well. This will be my first Freebie for any of JanniScraps or Nana's designs and I'm soooo excited!

My first LOs for Seascraps
Today is my last day of Easter vacation, so I made some time to scrap a few more LOs before heading back to work tomorrow. I made 3 LOs for Sandra's (Seascraps) kits.

Not only did I make some LOs over Easter, I also made a decision to join the Members only club over at Jani scraps. I've been a subscriber to Nana's Attic for a while now and saw some fabulous kits over at Jani Scraps place too, so I just had to jump on that bandwagon! I'd love to be able to make some Quickpages using their kits, since that is allowed in the TOU, to give away on here. Hopefully, I'll have time to do that with all my other CTs and Challenges!

One LO -- many Challenges
I love having some time off!!! Today is the first day of my Easter Break from teaching.
With more time at home, that means there's more time to scrap. I made my first QP for Seascraps using her April's Child kit today.
I also created my LO for Mrs. Wresh's challenge below and this LO:

Mrs. Wresh Challenge - Week 8
For Mrs. Wresh's About Me Album Challenge we had to scrap about our regrets. In terms of big things, I really don't feel that I have many regrets. Instead, I regret not living every day to its fullest!
Regrets
Credits: Day of the Daffodils by Carolyn Kite (ScrapNTag)
Journaling reads:
Life is full of moments sometimes we wish to change,
yet dwelling on the past leaves us far away from today -
this moment; the present.
Overall, I am happy with my life, but
I do regret not taking the time to live in each moment -
to stop thinking ahead and simply enjoy
the people, places, and experiences of each new day -
for life is short.
We must live for today, not for tomorrow.

By all this I don't mean we shouldn't care about tomorrow, but we should enjoy each moment as it comes before us, for we will never have the chance to live that moment again.

Hard to believe that Easter will be here in just a few days. With all the great new Easter kits out there, I just had to scrap this page about my niece and nephews from last Easter.

What I Like About Me

Another LO for Today
Boy, I've been posting LOs right and left today it seems! I had forgotten about this one from yesterday and knew I had to post it before I forgot. Over at DSO, once you sign up you get the Welcome Wagon Mini-Kit. If you make a LO with the Mini-Kit and post it, you get the Welcome Wagon Mega-Kit. Here's my mini-kit LO, which earned me the Mega Kit!
New Challenges and New LOs
Now that it's March, there are new challenges all over the scrapbooking world! I've decided to dig into some of the 19 challenges offered over at DSO, so I can earn March's new mega kit! Here are some of the LOs I've done so far -
